Meditation is a tool, a type of training to help us be more mindful during each day.

When we meditate, we find a quiet spot, adopt a strong but relaxed posture, perhaps close our eyes, and focus our attention on an object (for example, the physical sensation of breathing). When we notice any thoughts that occur, we let them go and return our attention to the chosen object. We practice paying attention rather getting lost in thought. This training helps us pay attention during our daily life.
